Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state. Meditation is practiced in numerous religious traditions.
Just for Today in Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a set of daily reflections and meditations meant to help people with drug addiction focus on sobriety one day at a time. The program is based on the Twelve Steps of Narcotics Anonymous, and each day’s reflection is centered around one of the Steps. Just for Today also konwn as J.F.T.
Interactive activities helps make the learning process more collaborative and gives patients more chances to engage with each other in meaningful ways. Over time, this helps them to be better equipped for the many challenges they will face later in life.
